Stage 2 of Exit from Lockdown

Since the Bailiwick re-entered lockdown in January 2021 we have been holding Hearings and Convenor Meetings remotely. In view of the limited space within our offices at Briarwood we have decided to continue with these arrangements during Stage 2.

This means that our office at Briarwood will remain closed to the public for now. All of our staff however are still working and can be contacted by email at [email protected] or telephone on 223290.

We are doing what we can to make Hearings and Convenor Meetings as inclusive as possible. If you are participating in a remote Hearing or Convenor Meeting, your rights are exactly the same as if you were attending in person.

Please contact us when you receive the letter telling you the date and time of the Hearing or Convenor Meeting so that we can decide together how we best ensure you are able to take part.

We would like to thank all of the children and young people who have taken part in Hearings during the lockdown.  You have shown great resilience in adapting to the ever changing circumstances and new ways of doing things.  Your views, wishes and feelings play a vital part in the decisions that we make. We will return to face to face hearings in Stage 3 or as soon as it is safe to do so.
